On August 16th, eight Renodis employees had the pleasure of assisting Nate Mill, his wife Stephanie, and various Northern Tool and Equipment employees at Northern Tool's Headquarters in Burnsville, MN, building beds for the Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) Organization.
SHP is a wonderful organization that just started back in 2014 and has grown substantially. They described themselves as “A group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need” and they are just that. Personally delivering and setting up the bunk beds in families homes in need. The stories and photos they share are incredible.Nate started the SHP Twin Cities chapter in 2016. They completed their first bed build at Northern Tool in April 2017. Last year the SHP Twin Cities chapter built and delivered 150 beds within the Twin Cities area. This year they are hoping for 200 beds.
SHP and Nate have gotten the process down to a "T", making it very easy for volunteers to step in and help. They have various stations set up with all the necessary tools, each with a specific step in the process all the way to the end station where the bed pieces get stained.
